About the vacancy:

Position Summary: Lead the front-of-house team to deliver consistent, high-quality guest service, oversee reservations and guest flow across channels, and ensure smooth daily operations and events. Acts as primary point of escalation for guest issues and staff coordination in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Work Environment: Dynamic, high-volume café/lounge with significant guest interaction and occasional events. Requires on-floor leadership, quick decision-making, and close collaboration with service, security, and back-of-house teams.

As a Hostess Supervisor, we need you to:
  • Supervise and coach hosts/hostesses and front-of-house staff; ensure standards for greeting, seating, and guest interaction are met.
  • Oversee reservation management across all platforms (online, phone, email); ensure accuracy, update records, and minimize double bookings or errors.
  • Manage guest flow, queues, and waitlists during peak periods; communicate wait-times clearly and manage expectations.
  • Handle guest complaints and escalations professionally; resolve issues promptly to maintain guest satisfaction and protect brand reputation.
  • Coordinate seating plans, table turns, and service flow to maximize capacity and service efficiency.
  • Monitor public areas for cleanliness and organization; coordinate with housekeeping and security (including cloak/coat room with bouncer when applicable).
  • Support event setup and manage live content streaming or event media operations as required.
  • Maintain daily logs and reports (reservations, no-shows, incidents, staffing needs); communicate operational insights to management.
  • Train staff on reservation systems, POS basics, guest service protocols, and emergency procedures.
  • Enforce workplace policies, punctuality, and responsible conduct (including oversight of areas related to betting/gaming if applicable).
  • Assist in rostering and on-the-day staffing adjustments to meet demand.
  • Promote a positive team culture and lead by example in guest service and professionalism.
  • Managing staff working schedules
As a Hostess Supervisor, we need you to have:
  • Proven experience in a supervisory role in hospitality, restaurants, cafés, or similar high-volume settings.
  • Strong leadership skills: ability to delegate, motivate, and develop staff.
  • Excellent communication and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Proficient in managing reservations and comfortable learning/using multiple booking platforms.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Highly organized, goal-oriented, punctual, and responsible.
  • Conversational proficiency in English; additional languages an advantage.
  • Good time management and decision-making abilities.
  • Collegial and team-focused attitude.
  • Preferred:

    • Prior experience specifically as a host/hostess or reservation manager.
    • Familiarity with POS systems and common reservation platforms.
    • Experience coordinating events, live streaming/content management, or working alongside security teams.
    • Knowledge of local regulations related to betting/gaming environments (if applicable).
Reporting & Hours:
  • Reports to General Manager/Operations Manager.
  • Flexible schedule required, including evenings, weekends, and event shifts
